Bath Rugby isn't just a team. It's a Club. A tradition, a way of life. As a Club, we proudly represent this historic city, the community and you, the supporters. You are the ones who come and cheer on the boys come rain or shine. You help drive us over the whitewash to score that winning try or that last minute kick through the posts. Whether it’s your first game, or 100th, your support is invaluable. Here are just a few of your stories following the Blue, Black and White through the years.

Jon Evans, Admin of the Facebook supporters’ group: “My first match was back in 1986 when rugby was still an amateur sport. I went with my dad and from that moment I was hooked. I watch the matches from the terraces, purely for the atmosphere. The terraces make the most noise and the energy is so electric it gives you goose bumps. I will never forget Stuart Barnes kicking the winning drop goal in the 1992 Pilkington Cup Final to secure us the trophy for the seventh time. There have been so many amazing players to choose from, but if I had to pick one that really stood out for me then it would be Leeeeeerooooooooy Hooooooouston! From his beaming smile you just know he is playing for the pure enjoyment of the game, plus answering the call when we were short of players a few seasons back. It showed he cared about the team, his mates and the supporters.”

Tom Sutton, a key member of the Bath Rugby Supporters Group: “I became a Bath Rugby fan in 1996 after my own rugby involvement came to an end and my daughter came to study at the University of Bath. We were living in Kent at the time. Beating Wasps in their "home" matches at Twickenham on St. George's Day in 2010 and 2011 was fantastic, but the team's performance vs Toulouse (away in France) in January 2015 is hard to beat. A brilliant result - and I was there! Butch James was a magician! He was so influential and got the team playing an amazing, exciting brand of attacking rugby.”

Sara Garbutt: “I have supported Bath since moving to the city 27 years ago. There have been so many highs during that time but I’d have to say the best of the lot was being at Twickenham for the Pilkington Cup Final in 1992 and seeing Stuart Barnes knocking over a drop-goal to steal the game from Harlequins in the final minute of extra-time. My favourite player ever for Bath Rugby has to be Dan Lyle, the one-time USA captain. He helped us win the Heineken Cup in 1998, and captained the side for the 2001/2 season. Always a leader on the pitch and still a great servant to the game.”

Ken Wheeler: “I have been a supporter of Bath Rugby for longer than I can remember! My geography master at school Laurie Rimmer was Captain of Bath at the the time and he managed to win five England caps. My wife and I were in Bordeaux for the European Cup Final and the atmosphere was terrific. I offered my Bath wig to a young Brive fan as a memento when we were leaving the ground, but he was not amused. My wife would say Ben Clarke without hesitation as her favourite player, but I do like watching Francois Louw.”

Cliff Fiander: “I’m a retired Royal Navy Commander and Facilities Management Director. One time a sponsor of the Army Rugby Union and many years ago a Vice President at Plymouth Albion. Now happily settled in the West Country and have enjoyed the passion and excitement of supporting the Blue, Black and White since 2011. Very happy watching all the action from the East Stand. My most favourite moment ever as a Bath Rugby supporter was the 9th September 2017 when we beat Saracens and Rokoduguni scored those two late tries; because I WAS THERE.”
