Introducing the NextGen package!

This is available to all Under-16s and is the ultimate matchday experience for any budding rugby player part of a club or school booking. This will include:

A coaching session on the Rec’s outfield ahead of the match. Delivered by Community and Academy qualified coaches, because how could it be the ultimate matchday experience without playing some rugby led by some of the best coaches in the region!

Being part of the guard of honour welcoming the starting XV onto the pitch ahead of kick-off. You will be given your very own blue, black and white flag to wave.

“It was very exciting,” one former participant shared. “I haven’t been on the pitch before, good atmosphere with lots of cheering.”

And finally, be part of the half-time parade where you get to walk around the perimeter of the pitch in front of 14,500 supporters – a perspective only players get to experience!

But once again, how else can we provide an extra special experience for those returning to the Rec this season?

Our mascot package offers you the chance to lead the Bath Rugby team out with the captain in front of over 14,500 cheering fans at the beginning of the game. Not only do you get to run out with the team, but you will also get a behind the scenes tour, including exploring the home changing rooms and watching both teams warm up from the sidelines.

Some truly unforgettable moments for those who have participated in the past: “I got to hang up the players’ shirts! I have never been in the changing rooms before. I got to hide Tom Dunn’s matchday programme and he’s my favourite player.

“It was very special to be able to go where other people aren’t allowed, Middy (Steve Middleton, team Kit Manager) was funny and let me do lots of jobs most other children wouldn’t get the chance to do!”

Please note, this experience costs £150 which includes a ticket to the match (parent/guardian/family/friends will need to purchase additional tickets).

*Due to Covid-19 and the current RFU guidelines, we are unable to run our mascot experience at the first three home fixtures.
