The 21-year-old has made his first team comeback in recent weeks after a spell on the sidelines with a foot injury, and is delighted to be back in the fold.

“The foot feels good – I’ve got two games under my belt, and now I can focus on getting back to full fitness, playing more minutes and try to help Bath finish the season as strongly as possible.”

The hooker came on as a second-half replacement for Tom Dunn at Twickenham last Saturday, and he admitted that he was blown away by the 60,000 Bath supporters that packed into the home of England Rugby.

“The turnout of the Bath supporters was fantastic,” said the former England U20 international.

“It was awesome turning up and seeing Twickenham in Blue, Black and White. The atmosphere was amazing and it was a special occasion for me, the players and the Club. Whilst the result didn’t go our way, we’d like to thank all the supporters, who travelled from Bath and beyond to support the team.”

Attention now turns to this Sunday’s Aviva Premiership fixture against Saracens at Allianz Park. Whilst acknowledging the challenge in front of them, Walker believes the team can draw confidence from the 31-21 victory against two-time European Champions at the Rec in September.

“They were European Champions last season and they are a fantastic team with world-class players, but we’ve already shown this season that we can beat them,” he said.

“We’ve trained well, we’ve got a plan in place and we’ll be looking to execute that on Sunday with a solid performance on the road.”
