United will then travel to Devon to face Exeter Braves, before a home West Country derby against Bristol Bears A. The Blue, Black and White then have back-to-back games on the road against London Irish and Harlequins.

United then welcome Exeter Braves to the Rec in the return fixture of the Southern Conference, before facing Bristol Bears (A), Harlequins (H) and London Irish (H). The group stage will finish how it started, with United going up against Saracens Storm in North London at the start of May.

Bath Rugby’s Performance Pathway Coach, Ryan Davis, said: “We were all excited to see the fixtures for the Premiership Rugby Shield for 2019/20. This competition has proven to play an important role over the past 12 months in helping to develop our players, as well as a number of us as coaches.

"The most important games for the Club do exist in the Gallagher Premiership and Champions Cup, without doubt, but the work going on behind this and the opportunities that we take to develop each other as whole squad and as a whole coaching team will pay dividends as well.

“It’s going to be a privilege for me to lead the coaching team for Bath United this season. We have an exciting group of young players emerging from within our pathway, a squad of players that need meaningful game time. That extra level of fixtures provides opportunities for all players within the squad to show what they’ve got and to press their claims for selection”.
