Daniel Marais and Luke Graham, both pupils at Paul Roos Gymnasium in South Africa, will join the Blue, Black and White in the New Year after impressing at schoolboy level.

A second row, Marais is a towering figure who began his junior rugby with Hamilton RFC, winning Junior Player of the Year, before earning the captaincy and Player of the Year at Milnerton High.

He has been a consistent figure in the Paul Roos 1^st XV side for the past few seasons.

Back three player Graham grew up as a full-back but in the past year has found his niche as a right wing.

He played for Paarl Boys’ High from Under-14s to Under-16s before moving to Paul Roos in 2021 where he was the first XVs’ top try scorer this season. Graham was also recently selected for the Western Province A team.
