1) 'NY State of Mind' by Nas

A true street poet of the highest order. This song is a real throwback to rhythm and poetry - storytelling at its very finest - and paints a vivid picture of ghetto life in NYC. Quite possibly my favourite rap song.

2) 'Gotham's Reckoning' by Hans Zimmer

I'm a massive fan of cinematic music, as they convey emotions with conviction. This particular track is from 'The Dark Knight Rises'. A pre-game song which never fails.

3) 'Promontory' by Trevor Jones

A great track from 'The Last of the Mohicans'. This is just epic. It speaks to the inner warrior. The film's director used it again years later for a sports commercial.

4) 'The Fellowship' by Howard Shore

When I hear this piece of music I think it inspires a group of people persevering through some kind of all-powerful adversity. A beautiful track from 'Lord of the Rings'.

5) 'Hip Hop' by Dead Prez

I turn the volume right up on this one. That is all. You're welcome.
