It was selfies and shirt-signing galore on Friday as Bath Rugby fans got to meet the players and coaches at the 2022/23 Season Launch event.

Over 1,200 supporters headed to The Rec rocking their own retro shirts from seasons gone by to meet the players and chat about the upcoming season.

With a refreshed coaching set up and a plethora of new players, fans were welcomed by Chief Executive Tarquin McDonald and were soon to hear from new Head of Rugby, Johann van Graan.

Fans also got to hear from new signings Niall Annett and Piers Francis, who both bring their experience of Premiership Rugby to The Rec.

The biggest cheer of all went to ex-Bath Rugby winger Joe Maddock, who returns to the Blue, Black and White as Attack Coach after 12 years away.

Basking in sunshine, Bath Rugby Foundation’s mixed-ability rugby team even got to play with some of the club’s Academy players who took to the outfield for a touch rugby tournament.

It was a great way for the Bath Rugby community to come together and get the season going ahead of the team’s first pre-season outing against Coventry this weekend.
